Bookkeeping cleanup means fixing messy records so your books are easier to trust and easier to use. TrainedBooks focuses on transaction categorization, normalization, reconciliation checks, anomaly detection, and reporting support.

How far back can TrainedBooks clean up?

The flat price covers up to 12 months behind. Anything further back is quoted before work starts, so the number never moves after you have paid. TrainedBooks can pull up to 2 years of transaction history where your institution supports it, and you can upload older CSVs or statement PDFs on top of that. Months beyond the flat-price scope are quoted first.

Who does the cleanup?

A person does. Software does the first pass, then a human reviews every flagged transaction, asks you about anything genuinely ambiguous, and signs off before you get the books back.

Will my bank connection stay active forever?

For one-time cleanup, your Plaid connection is removed after cleanup unless you enroll in Keep-Clean.
